After an initial burst of activity things will now go quiet here for a bit. When I resume I will be re-focusing a bit on design – which is mostly supposed to be what Ruralise is about. What to look out for in the coming weeks:
I have some stuff to say about special and ordinary buildings, local distinctiveness and design guides, the architectural ‘DNA’ of rural Norfolk, house-builder pastiche, rural design competitions in Pembrokeshire and Suffolk, Norfolk architectural heroes Tayler & Green and a gaggle of rural-related architects including Peter Aldington, Dualchas, Wenche Selmer…and maybe some of my own recent work in Norfolk.
